Worship
We were made to worship. And we are quite good at being worshippers. In fact, worship is the engire that changes us, because the objects of our worship (i.e., promotion, kids, dreams, job, money, power, sex) shape us, mold us, consume us, contour us into their images. You've seen this in your own life, haven't you?
Yet, until we find true rest in the Triune God, we will fall under the weight of our longing to (1) be accepted, (2) to belong, (3) to be changed, (4) to love and be loved. It all goes back to the Bible. To know God in context, at the center of a Christian's view of the world, we need to know who and how to worship. We do this in order to see that it is not all about our glory but rather it is about the glory of God. And as His holiness and love melt us in worship, we get re-oriented to God's world, understand the depth of His grace toward broken, bruised, banged up people, and, in the end, justify our hope.
So, each week we gather as people living in Owasso, Tulsa, and the surrounding communities to adore the Triune God because worship is engine of our personal and corporate transformation.
